Karlyn Carnahan runs the property casualty practice for Celent for North America. She focuses on issues related to digital transformation, customer experience, distribution management, underwriting, and claims. She is a widely recognized expert on these topics who has written market-leading reports and presented at numerous conferences. Her consulting work for insurance carriers includes distribution channel analysis, digital strategies, competitor benchmarking, IT assessments, and more than 50 system selection projects as well as a wide variety of other strategic projects. She joined Celent with an extensive career in the insurance industry and holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
With 30 years of experience in the insurance and technology space, Danny Redruello brings invaluable expertise to his role as Vertafore’s Vice President of Carrier and MGA Sales. At Vertafore, he has worked with Top 100 US carriers in a large scale operational transformation projects replacing core management systems and has also been responsible for Vertafore’s relationship with the Top 25 carriers. Danny started his career in the Retail Brokerage of our industry, where he was responsible for driving growth as well as operational efficiencies. Then he transitioned on the Carrier side where he held various leadership positions in underwriting, claims, and ultimately as the Vice President of Information Technology, where he was responsible for building the technical foundation that supported an aggressive growth cycle.
Rick is a strong advocate for independent agents, having built his own successful independent brokerage from scratch and growing it through numerous acquisitions before exiting the business in 2009. With his wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience, he serves as a liaison with agency clusters and aggregators to ensure independent agents have the technologies, systems, and policies in place to drive success, move the industry forward, and foster technology adoption.
